sax2 和nvidia-setting 无法调整15寸LCD显示器分辨率（已解决，申请加精）

最近淘了一个GForces2 MX 400 64M 显卡，主板是845G主板（集成显卡，15寸LCD），之前使用集成显卡的时候没有任何问题，sax2可以设置 1024X768＠60hz，但今天换上GForces2 MX 400 64M，下载了 NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9631-pkg1.run
init 3
sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9631-pkg1.run -q
sax2 -r -m 0=nvidia
设置过程中明明设置了分辨率1024X768，可是保存之前的测试确变成了800X600＠60hz。。。。

后来
su
nvidia-settings 仍然无法调整分辨率:mad: :mad:

兄弟们阿帮忙看看阿，是不是之前安装了845G集成的显卡的驱动的缘故阿，启动过程中915resloutions检测显卡模式失败！！！！

如何从内核中永久删除以前的845G集成集成显卡的驱动模块，yast删除915resloution，提示太多程序依赖问题，没有敢删除！！！！！

找了n多英文论坛 终于在 linuxquestion 找到了
     在 xorg.conf
     device 区段添加
    Option "UseEDID" "false"

其实也可以通过sax2 修改，具体见附件，其实sax2配置显卡的参数真多，好多都不知道是控制什么的。

sudo vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf
在
SubSection "Display"
    Depth      24
Modes      "1024x768"
把Modes的第一个分辨率改为1024x768
试试

这个我开始已经测试过，不行的，后来我使用了 metamodes 强制，也不行。。。。。

ps：我后来把的17的crt显示器，sax2 -r -m 0=nvidia ，可以设置1024X768 分辨率，但无法调整刷新虑到75hz，后来可以顺利通过nvidia-settings 设置分辨率为75hz，呜呜。。。。。。为什么15lcd不能通过nvidia-settings调整分辨率呢。。。。

我也碰到和你一样的问题了，我是CRT的，没开xgl前，可以上1024X768，装了驱动，开了3D后，就死活上不了，用sax在图形和字符介面下都调过，没有用。那位兄弟给个主意。:mad:

使用了xmod生成的自定义的mode也不行，后来重新安装suse10。2
1、安装nvidia驱动，只要开3d，就无法设置分辨率为1024X768，只能800X600开3d
2、卸载nvidia驱动，或者不开3d，就可以设置为1024X768
3、接17crt，安装nvidia驱动，开启3d，可以可以设置分辨率1024x768@75hz

郁闷，。。。。。。。。。。怎么在我的15寸LCD就无法实现3d呢，开始使用主板集成的显卡实现xgl没有任何问题，怎么换了gforce2 mx400 怎么就不行呢。。。。。。。。。。期待高人阿。。。。。。。。。。。

No, my GPU is supported by 96xx, it is not supported by 97xx. BUT, I have fixed my problem! Okay my Hivision LCD monitor does not give a proper EDID, thus the new Nvidia driver couldn't properly validate my resolution modes (I am guessing the old driver doesn't care about the EDID). All I had to do was add the line

1. Option "UseEDID" "false"

to the Device section of xorg.conf and everything worked fine. I also have AIGLX running now! However, I was wondering if normal 3D apps could run using direct rendering with AIGLX. Is this the case? After all my 'glxinfo' says my GL driver is from NVIDIA, not Mesa (like in XGL).

恭喜，恭喜，偶的CRT也没问题了，只不过解决的有点白痴。偶把显示器对角线大小没改，改成17后。就OK了，只不过为什么看到XGL的四方体桌面。
