求助：启动后无法登入

chroot安装gentoo重启后出现如下信息：
starting local
this is localhost.(none) (linux i686 2.6.18-gentoo-r2)
localhost login
无法登入，/etc/hosts 设置为localhost
进入rescue模式，输入root密码同样没有反应，安装时设置了root密码的。
手动编译的内核
请教大侠们这是啥原因，如何解决，多谢！

My 2.6.18-gentoo-r2 gets something wrong, i dont recommend to use this kernel...

plz use 2.6.18-gentoo-r3...
