看清楚楼主说的意思了。
要解决的问题是， Windows 安装时自动加载驱动，这个可以有个应答文件的。我不清楚。
看一下那些支持 SATA 的 安装光盘 ，是怎么在安装时加载驱动的。


其实要把驱动加到 2.88MB 的img 文件中，完全可以。
这时 2.88.img 文件 也就是 A盘了。驱动的路径一如软盘中的。
然后是 Windows 的安装文件 必须要放在 Fat / Fat32 的磁盘。
如果正常加载驱动，系统分区应该使用 NTFS 文件系统。

以上方案带有实验性质。
可能在启动安装的过程中会不认这个 仿真 的 A 盘。

VMware is just for windows installation. After installed windows, you can remove vmware. The brief instruction:

Install vmware in linux;
install windows in vmware, create the vm harddriver pointing to the physical HD, instead of vm file in linux. The windows hardware configuration will be based on the vmware simulated hardware;
Modify grub to enable booting from the new installed windows;
When wondows boots up from grub, it will re-configure all the hardware based on the real ones.

The one question I have is about SCIC and RAID. I only have experience on IDE.

Correct!
Normally when we install an OS in vmware, its HD is an image file in the host OS. But if you create its HD pointing to the physical HD, the new OS is exactly installed in the HD partition. Then you can run it without vmware if you want.

你理解得有些问题
虽然这个windows 是在linux的虚拟机安装的，但是是直接安装到硬盘上，是一个真实的windows，
看来你对 vmware 虚拟机还不大熟，先了解一个这个再说吧。
