gentoo不在支持从stage1开始编译，而直接从stage3开始，是否意味着性能下降？

有什么差别呢，从stage1开始装无非就是多运行了个bootstrap的脚本而已

是的,应该是make menuconfig，不过我的却不能编译。
当然，再进行stage1之前，我在/etc/make.conf里设置了：
USE="-kde -qt alsa -apm -cups -oss"
是否这里有影响的？

楼主哪里得来的这个消息啊？！

用stage3包安装，如果改动了cflags，只要做一下emerge -e system，出来的效果和从stage1装出来是一样的，分别只是用stage3包比从stage1开始出错机会大大减少而已。如果cflags不用改，连emerge -e system也无需做的。

不会少什么的，我就是用 lfs 做 gentoo 的，应该相当于从 stage1 做起。
