I am running Xorg-7 with ati-drivers and dri enabled. I also have the xpress200m card.

To get the ati-drivers/dri working post xorg7 install, I re-emerged the drivers (8.20.8), re-emerged x11-drm, and eselected gl to ati. That was all it took. Did you miss a step?

正emerge中(91 of 123)，完了再emerge ati-drivers，希望没什么麻烦。

ati的驱动对我一直没有用

没什么大麻烦，小问题几个（陆续添加中）：
[color="Navy"]** rc-status -s 会有[broken]字样，按它的提示做应该可以解决。
[color="Navy"]** gnome-terminal里显示的中文去AA没了，中文显示模糊；换用其他如mlterm就没事。
[color="Navy"]** xmms用默认skin即皮肤设为无会发花。
[color="Navy"]** 想起revdep-rebuild时，已经有一堆东西要re-emerge了。

[color="Navy"]* revdep-rebuild中，nas出错，需x11-misc/gccmakedep和app-text/rman。

[color="Navy"]* 居然是最后一个apmd出错，emerge libtool就成，rebuild重新来过。

[color="Navy"]* fglrx内核模块加载正常，只是ati-drivers的有些组件未能正确编译，导致

1. Checking dynamic linking consistency...
   
2.   broken /opt/ati/bin/aticonfig (requires  libfglrx_pp.1)
   
3.   broken /opt/ati/bin/fglrx_pplay (requires  libfglrx_pp.1)
   
4.   broken /opt/ati/bin/fglrx_xgamma (requires  libfglrx_gamma.1)

期待新的ati驱动。

解决方法：

1. ln -s /usr/lib/xorg/libfglrx_pp.so.1.0 /usr/lib/libfglrx_pp.1
   
2. ln -s /usr/lib/xorg/libfglrx_gamma.so.1.0 /usr/lib/libfglrx_gamma.1

ati 9550驱动正常（装官方fglrx驱动，则x11-drm无需安装）。

3. 12764 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2552.618 FPS
   
4. 12763 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2552.482 FPS

midx兄, 我看你用的是ati官方的驅動吧... 你有試過dri的嗎？ 我看xorg7的change log說已經支持了r3xx, 就是搞不定:help

fglrx应该没问题。会不会是这个原因：

但当初我安装xorg7的时候，没有安装它呀？
今天sync后，－u world时发现可以安装了。原来是mask的，当然xorg7也是unmask过后才安装的。
