AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3000+应该安装debian的amd64还是i386？

我的debian老是死机，难受死了，是不是安装的版本不对啊？我的cpu是AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3000+，安装的i386.
往往是一不小心就死机了，开着浏览器解压缩有时候就死机，apt-get安装程序有时候也死机。稍微繁忙点就死机。很吓人。要不要换amd64的？
但是我安装fedora的i686就很好，不死机，rhel5也不死机。windows 的32也不死机，就是debian 5 i386非常容易死机。

请高手赐教。

唉，已经设置好了，但是老是死机难以忍受。
要是装错了版本就麻烦了。什么都要重新弄。

看看系统和内核的日志啊，看看死机的时候有没有留下啥记录。

一般LinuX死机都是硬件故障引起的，或者加载的内核模块有问题（例如二进制驱动）

你就贴这点信息出来，叫人家怎样帮你？你这个问题很含糊的，可以涉及到多个方面的问题，还是楼上说得对，你先学会查/var/log，特别是其中的faillog，messages之类的，还有就是dmesg... ...

很遗憾，你说得不清不楚

新手，不知道需要说明什么信息，提示一下，或者给个学习提纲也行，我好自己去学，现在是乱摸索。

messages有1M多，不知道贴哪部分，faillog是空的。

与显卡驱动没关系或者关系不大，没有装显卡的时候死机也很严重。显卡是 GeForce 7300LE
