linux 和 windows xp 关于heads/cylinder的判断不一样，如何处理？

请教各位:

一块硬盘，双系统，突然发现用windows xp的安装盘不能启动，而用gentoo livecd没问题。用testdisk看，发现ntfs分区有Bad relative sector.
Warning: Incorrect number of heads/cylinder 240 (NTFS) != 255 (HD)，不知道应该如何处理。

用windows xp的安装盘启动时，它是不是要自动检查hardisk?或是hardisk的分区呢？

先在linux把数据备份好，然后删掉那个分区
