郁闷了，安装完gentooamd64 2008 后，重启用任何名字都无法登录系统？

完全按照手册装了3天gentoo都没有成功，前两天是kernel 没搞好，第一次是开机后grub直接进入命令行，手动启动后出现block不对，什么VFS错误，没办法断电重启后手动启动ubuntu，google了一下，把内核scsi，sata, 和支持的文件系统该选的都选了，再编译还是不行，没办法，直接把ubuntu8.04的内核配置拿过来，然后再修改下，重编，结果还是那个错误，只好genkernel了，同时放弃grub，修复ubuntu的grub后用这个引导，内核通过了，但是却怎么都登录不了，输入root,提示错误，安装时没有设置其他的用户阿？ google没找到相关的，他们最起码都是用户名输入成功，密码错误的。 重来，格盘后重装，一不小心装了个ppp，居然一下要装175个包，等了一下午到123个包的时后错误退出，没管他，装grub，郁闷又开始了，安装失败，说我的/boot分区没挂载，明明挂载了阿，怎么搞的阿。忽略，重启，靠grub引导，结果到头来还是无法登录。请老鸟们看看是怎么回事。。。

重启后再进入chroot，不能passwd, 显示passwd：拒绝权限

顺便问一下，ubuntu什么都搞的那么好，会不会以后要转成商业版呢？ 用ubuntu有用windows的感觉。

补充下，是在ubuntu 8.04 amd64 中chroot安装的

你在chroot安装后没有设置root的密码，所以你登陆不了。
ppp你设置gtk的USE，那么多包是gtk需要的吧，你可以先不用gtk的USE来emerge，就不会了。
说你boot没挂载可能是因为你少了把mount的东西写了 chroot后的/etc/mtab中了，具体怎么做，我记得手册上有讲的。

安装过程中用passwd设置密码了，后两个我试试，先谢谢了

刚打开电脑，发现ubuntu居然被搞坏了，
error: cannot open device UUID=53761241-32d2等。。

系统自动用fsck检查，结果
fsck died with exit status24上面还有几行参数说明

然后file system check failed

只能
CONTROL + D will terminate this shell and resume system boot

这样之后就正常启动了

　　给楼主一个信息，就是我在安装的时候发现中间有一段时间是不能够在其他的控制台登录的，表现为输入用户名后不让输入密码。之后，我用 dispatch-conf 更新 /etc 目录下关于 pam 的设置文件之后就可以正常登陆了。楼主可以看看有没有可能是 pam 设置的更新问题。

我现在在ubuntu桌面环境下重装，一会看看这个pam
这个pam 是个什么玩意？？ 我刚才用USE="-gtk" emerge --pretend ppp

恩，估计是这个问题，我前面两次登录不了，都跟gtk有关，第一次想装make xconfig，就装了gtk，174个文件到123个是失败，具体信息我没记住，第二次没敢装gtk，但是装ppp时不小心又装了，175个文件到12n（忘了是第几个了）失败，所以估计跟gtk有关，而gtk安装失败是怎么回事不晓得。看USE="-gtk" emerge --pretend ppp 中对pam红字显示，不知道什么意思，没敢装。。有没有那个位兄弟来解释下？？？

好歹现在基本系统装好了，不容易阿

在baidu上搜 gentoo pam，出现好多这样的问题了，是pam0.99与 shadow冲突，不要升级pam就好了。
