不只是Linux，英语学到一定程度后，肯定会遇到这个单词，或者说单词前缀

比如metadata是有关数据的数据，比如记录数据的存储位置，存储时间的数据。文件系统刚创建好之后会发现分区的空间已经被使用了一些，但实际上并没有文件在分区里。那些空间就是被元数据占用的，比如给superblock，给inode预留的空间，journal等等。
