X进不了，ATI咋这难用呢？高手帮帮忙啊

新买了一个HP的6330本，用的是ATI X1300的显卡
刚买回来就兴冲冲地装Gentoo，但问题多多
一开始本来想装ati-drivers的，但ati-drivers和xorg-server会Block
就打算用开源的驱动，照足了

上面的来做，但startx总是不行，搞得人好心烦
为啥Nvidia的一弄就好了呢，而ATI的这么烦
哪位高手来帮看看啊

x1300的显卡，开源驱动是radeonhd,有兴趣的话，按照如下步骤感谢je_fro@g.o的ebuild)

1. 
   
2. #emerge layman
   
3. #layman -a je_fro
   
4. #echo "x11-drivers/xf86-video-radeonhd **" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
   
5. #emerge xf86-video-radeonhd -av

最后别忘了修改xorg.conf.

PS:我也是ati X1300显卡，用了radeonhd快一周时间了。目前还没有3D加速，不过wine starcraft之类还是可以的。
    想玩compiz-fusion之类的玩意劝你还是降级Xorg.
      另：有机会看看/usr/share/doc/xf86-video-radeonhd-9999/readme,提交conntest数据到radeonhd@opensuse.org
             支持开源驱动的开发。

老开源驱动不支持x1000系列的显卡.你先看看它的说明知道了.

启动不了x说明没有认真看支持列表.

fglrx才支持.而且相当稳定.最新的开源驱动不支持aiglx,不过3d加速应该没有问题.因为没有用过所以不好说.不过楼上说魔兽都能玩,但是开不了加速就太不合情了吧

emerge xf86-video-radeonhd -av之后
把xorg.conf的驱动由radeon改成了radeonhd，但还是不行，不知道哪里设置错了
报的问题是：

说明没有识别出你的显卡!!!你先查看一下驱动的硬件支持列表 !

里面有我的显卡的啊
完整的log在附件里面，里面有两行是这样的：
(II) RADEONHD: X driver for the following AMD GPG (ATI) graphics devices:
        M52    : Mobility Radeon X1300.

我的就是Mobility Radeon X1300啊

我的笔记本是X1400的显卡，用ati-drivers基本没问题，xgl也ok

汗 ATI的就是麻烦，像我就换nvidia了
