how to logon the internet when finished install.

I have installed gentoo to my hd with option of internetless,cause the standard installation for emerging additional spare part is fu**ing long time to go.
Q is when i logon to my new gentoo,i can not find my eth0 and pppoe-setup is missing,not like booting with the liveCD' s way.
What's command should i do to logon the internet?

command: rc-update add net.eth0 default
emerge PPPOE
command: USE="-X" emerge rp-pppoe

thanks for the answer.i'll try later.the debian's package manager is fine and convenient,i just try to tell how about the gentoo's.Seems gentoo's emerging sources is fu**ing inconvenient.Maybe LFS or Slackware is more suit for me.anyway find it by myself.

My gentoo box has worked stably for almost 2 years, who cares about the long time installation. Gentoo's portage system is the most convenient & flexible package management system I've ever used.  Though debian is my second favorite distribution, with Apt you have to install so many fu**ing useless extra packages, which is so annoying,  that's why I left debian and fall in love with gentoo.

it's seems that the command: USE="-X" emerge rpj-pppoe could not work.
I got another way ,it's that use the liveCD to booting ,then mount the hdc4 which i installed the gentoo,and chroot /mnt/hdc4,then use the command you mention above.It's seems work now.

Logon to you gentoo linux without Livecd,configure you net.eth0 & pppoe,try again.
USE="-X"  are USE-flags. you can reference [color="Navy"]this page
