You can use RPM in Gentoo Linux ,but we didn't advise you to use RPM in gentoo linux
you can use rpm2targz ,it can  change the RPM package into tarball ,You just extract the tar file ,then copy files into the exact Directory!

no any problem, just emerge rpm package, then you can use rpm package like under redhat, but the dependency problem..................., be care of that! I do not think it can be solved under gentoo environment.

you can use rpm2targz to creat tarball, then emerge it according to handbook. or you can ask your friends to compile the package for you, and build binary packages.
