我的MYSQL在虚拟机上安装成功，但在另一台机子上，又无法编译了？

我下的时mysql-4.0.20.tar.gz这个版本，我在虚拟机上安装成功，可是我当我在刚刚装好RED HAT 9的机子上装这个时，./configure编译时出现下面这个错误，这是怎么回事，请大家帮忙指点一下，谢了！！

“checking whether build environment is sane....
configure:error:newly created file is older than
distributed files!
  check your system clock"

是否安装过旧的rpm包呢。。。。。

check your system clock这个是什么呢，你的时间？？

没有安装过旧的RPM包，因为我在装LINUX时，没又选它那里面的MYSQL的安装包，

check your system clock这个是它的出错信息，我也不明白这是什么意思？？

你的4。20是什么版本啊
我从mysql主页下的版本不要configure的直接脚本初始化就可以了

说现在将要创建的文件比现在分布的文件要旧，检查时间。。。

我也大概知道这个意思，但是我的系统是刚装的，我在虚拟机上也是这样装，但是却可以安装成功，为什么在另外一台机子上，以相同的方法，相同的版本安装，却不行，如何解决？？

会不会是装LINUX系统时，又什么工具没又安装上去，导致MYSQL编译不了呢？？

你的两个系统装的一样，应该没关系吧。。。
