Dear all,
I've got a question on Chinese Input Methods. I don't know how to input Chinese with the Locale set to English. OK. Here're my Locale settings.
$ locale
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=
To tell you the truth, I don't want to change all this. And I know James Su's SCIM is Locale independent. But the programs are dependent on Locale settings, which means if I want to input Chinese, I've got to change the Locale temporarily to Chinese. Yes, I can do this once or twice. But doing this every time I wanna input Chinese is tedious.
Could anyone suggest me a means, I mean if there's really a means, to deal with this? I'll be grateful. ^___^
