no chinese input so....

now i wanna to kown how to config the kernel (2.6.24-r5 2008 beta2)
my system can use xfce4 and display chinese well in opera ,but fcitx can not work well
and no any sound.

hehe i finished it by doing kernel compile as "http://www.de.gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_HP_Pavilion_dv4000" said........

my computer is HP DV 4013

but something still unrealized...
i set all "yes" about intel hardware and this made the kernel i compiled not work well why? is that not "the more you picked the better that finished kernel "?

my en is not well, hehe i dont know whether DX could understand what i said ~~~

ps: when i sent a new topic in our bbs, my opera's input area becomes a nerrow space ~~~why???

2. [Re: PS2] You can try to use scim. It is a more general module for input. I don't like something which can only work in a specific workaround. Scim can work in any languages, but fictx is just for Chinese people -- at least in my eyes it is.
