[提问]从其它机器拷贝过来的SU命令和密码的关系

在red hat9.0的系统上，装了一个软件后，su命令就坏了，不能切换用户了。后来从别的同版本的Linux 上拷贝整个bin目录过来，覆盖后可以切换了。用root登录系统后可以切换到普通用户。但是却不能切换到root用户，总是提示密码不对 。用本机的root密码和拷贝的那台机器的root密码都不行。不知道su命令和密码还有关联吗？该如何解决？请大虾帮忙！谢谢了

Copy the whole bin dir is dangerous even though you have the same level of systems. You should really just try copy the su exec first instead of the whole dir. The best is to use rpm to reinstall the coreutils pkg.
