无盘工作站 lessdisks?

一中学，使用的古老而垃圾的RPL无盘工作站。想用Linux改造。因为是偏远山区，没有刷ROM的工具。因此只能用RPL。

有没有同志有这方面经验的？debian的lessdisks能做吗？（文档太少+老……）
