请教linux下的头文件问题

有些头文件比如iostream.h ，在编译的时候竟然找不到！？
gcc出错信息如下
test1.c:1:22: iostream.h: No such file or directory
test1.c: In function `main':
test1.c:6: error: `cout' undeclared (first use in this function)
test1.c:6: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
test1.c:6: error: for each function it appears in.)
test1.c:5: warning: return type of 'main' is not `int'
我在/usr/include/c++/3.4.3/backward/  下有这个头文件。
请教要怎么样才能运行？我是刚学c的菜鸟，在论坛索引那里看了，没找到，有几个关于库文件的链接还打不开.应该要更新一下了

请用g++编译, 还有c++的文件名应该是.cc或.cxx吧?

估计用的教材太旧了，换本新一点的。

教材是99年钱能的c＋＋教程清大出版的

原程序是

不过为什么上面那个不行啊？是不是window和linux的格式有些不同？

跟操作系统无关.  是C++语言发展了.
去换本更新一点的教材吧.
