请教：WinXP下的VPN连接如何在Linux中实现

在WinXP登陆一个软件系统通过如下方式：
网络连接—>新建连接—>连接到我的工作场所的网络—>虚拟专用网络连接—>输入主机的IP地址—>完成；然后弹出个对话框，输入主机名和密码，在属性里面选择TCP/IP属性—>高级—>常规选项卡里不选择在远程网络上使用默认网关，以保证登陆软件系统后同时也能上网，请问各位大哥大姐，这种方式在Redhat Linux9下该如何实现呢，谢谢
