关于ATI的XGL，帮忙请入

显卡 是 Mobility Radeon X700
在硬件支持列表里查到
Chipset: RV410
Driver: ati-drivers-8.23.7
Notes: Running stable with the options mentioned in the Random lockups section. （这句话的意思是可以用“随机锁死”段落里提到的方法来稳定运行XGL）

然后又查了方法

ATI PCI-Express x300/x700/x600/x1400/x??? random lockups
-Add these lines to the device section of your xorg.conf

   Option       "UseInternalAGPGART" "no" #this already exists, so just update it if you have "yes here", make sure to have agpgart compiled on your kernel.
   Option       "KernelModuleParm" "agplock=0"

现在有2个问题：
1。我的ATI驱动是最新的。也就不和那个硬件支持列表里提到的一样，有没有影响？
2。上文提到的make sure to have agpgart compiled on your kernel.是什么意思？
难道用文本工具更改XORG。CONF后需要编译什么的？

原谅我初学者，命令一片空白，思想还是WIN32思想，请各位已经成功，特别是用这个显示卡的，更或者是和我一样使用ACER 5502机器的赐教安装XGL详细方式。
