no SOUNDS on video player except Realplayer!!Why?

No any sounds there is when I use Mplayer to play rmvb, either Totem! Playing on Realplayer is ok, thai is, I can hear a sound, but it doesn't show picture.

Simply say,
---------------pictures--- sounds---------
Mplayer----- yes--------- no
Totem------- yes--------- no
Realplayer---no---------- yes

Can anybody solve it well?

Now Realplayer have been deled, I just wanna Totem or Mplayer work!!!

mplayer 输出的提示信息正常吗？
声卡驱动加载了吗？
音量打开了吗？

1--when I use gmplayer open a rmvb, I shows an error message, that is, "Cannot find codec for audio format 0x4134504d".

Requested audio codec family [faad] (afm=faad) not available.
Enable it at compilation.
Cannot find codec for audio format 0x4134504D.
Read DOCS/HTML/en/codecs.html!


I have been installed wincodecs and my USE="sse sse2 real i8x0 dvd oss"

2--The modules of sound card have been loaded when started and I succeed to start it by manual with "/etc/init.d/alsasound start" .
* WARNING:  alsasound has already been started.

when I open anyother rmvb files, It said ," cannot open/initialize audio device --> no sound""

WHy it happened?

你的USE变量中没有加入win32codecs吗？

看看/etc/group，用户加到audio组了吗？

I try to emerge mplayer with "win32codecs" in "USE" but the problem still here,still miss codecs.

I have been in the group of audio with this command--# gpasswd -a <username> audio
and have my name in the line of audio of "/etc/group".

This is a stubborn problem in my system, I have been emerge my systems several times, but this problem still here!!! There is no such problem on Ubuntu.

I installed "media-plugins/gst-plugins-faad" and use "aoss realplay" to play rmvb, it seems realplayer's problem have been  fixed!!!

But Mplayer still no sounds!!

emerge -s faad
mplayer 肯定是支持 native 的 faad 的, 不是 gst 的.
