请教mysql最新的安装提示问题

我的mysql源文件
mysql-standard-4.1.1-alpha-pc-linux-i686.tar.gz

1.#tar zxvf mysql-standard-4.1.1-alpha-pc-linux-i686.tar.gz

2.#cd mysql-standard-4.1.1-alpha-pc-linux-i686

3.#./configure
提示如下

NOTE: This is a MySQL binary distribution. It's ready to run, you don't
need to configure it!

To help you a bit, I am now going to create the needed MySQL databases
and start the MySQL server for you. If you run into any trouble, please
consult the MySQL manual, that you can find in the Docs directory.

Installing all prepared tables

To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy support-files/mysql.server
to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
This is done with:
./bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'
./bin/mysqladmin -u root -h IBM3500 password 'new-password'
See the manual for more instructions.

NOTE: If you are upgrading from a MySQL <= 3.22.10 you should run
the ./bin/mysql_fix_privilege_tables. Otherwise you will not be
able to use the new GRANT command!

You can start the MySQL daemon with:
cd . ; ./bin/mysqld_safe &

You can test the MySQL daemon with the benchmarks in the 'sql-bench' directory:
cd sql-bench ; perl run-all-tests

Please report any problems with the ./bin/mysqlbug script!

Starting the mysqld server. You can test that it is up and running
with the command:
./bin/mysqladmin version
[root@IBM3500 mysql]# Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /soft/mysql/dat
a
041123 13:22:49 mysqld ended

[root@IBM3500 mysql]#

也就是说不需要./configure就可以运行了.
可是在若干个apache+mysql+php+vbb+ssl中的文章都要互相编译的.
这样的话.可以实现嘛?

不明白你说的相互编译是什么意思。

./configure –with-mysql=/usr/local/msyql –with-apache=../apache_1.3.27 –enable-track-vars –with-prefix=/usr/local/php

大概是这个意思吧.

这种版本的mysql包我也装过一次，应该是没问题的，你可以把它理解成win系统下那些解包后即可运行的软件，至少他建库、读取什么的都没有问题，但如果……在以后的应用中出现不明的mysql错误的话，还是建议重新down个需要编译的版本来装，以便排查
至于搂主所说的“相互编译”，我认为解释成“编译相关功能”更合适一些
