Welcome to the FreeBSD System Programming book. This book is a work in progress and feedback is appreciated! Please note:

    * We are presenting the book in a new format. While traditional programming books include inline code samples, moving between the code and the text explaining that code can be confusing. As such, after the first chapter, the code and text are treated as separate entities. The source code for each chapter is online and fully available for download. You may look at the source code examples alone or view only the text explanations, or even view them together. What do you prefer? Please let us know what you think.
    * The book was ordinally intended to be published in hard copy form. However, this has changed and the book was converted using txt2html and some quick edits by hand. The HTML formatting may be inconsistent or hard to follow. Please let us know what style would be the easiest to read.
    * If you would like to participate please contact the authors. You can view the work online or choose to download the chapter in text format.
